Continuing our Supper Club programme celebrating Middle Eastern food, Sarah al-Hamad will be leading another installment of her popular ‘Arabian High Chai’. This time to coincide with the launch of her latest dessert recipe cookbook Sun Bread & Sticky Toffee: Date Desserts from Everywhere.
The Arabian High Chai will include a glass of champagne, specially selected teas, cakes and savoury nibbles! Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the ingredients typically used in Gulf cuisine.
The event will take place in a secret West London location (W2), to be disclosed on booking. Sarah al-Hamad is a writer, photographer, home cook and the author of Cardamom and Lime: Recipes from the Arabian Gulf (New Holland). Growing up in Kuwait, some of her earliest memories are of her aunt’s bustling kitchen and her dad eating dates with buttermilk. Her passion for learning about cultures through food is revealed in her new book Sun Bread and Sticky Toffee: Date Desserts from Everywhere (Interlink Books), to be launched at The Mosaic Rooms on Wednesday 1 May.
