The Mosaic Rooms are delighted to present a very special Palestinian supper club with Hana Haj Ahmad of Tatreez Cafe.

Hana Haj Ahmad will serve an authentic Palestinian meal with a ‘golden’ recipe that has been passed on from her grandmother, to her mother, to her, then to your feast table. The meal will be accompanied by Lebanese wine from the Bekka Valley. At this supper club she will introduce guests to the delicious variety of Palestinian food through common and differing culinary threads of the region. Drawing on the themes explored in the exhibition, Garden State, where the evening will be held, Haj Ahmad will also briefly discuss the complexities of cultivating food in Palestine given Israel’s on-going occupation and expansion in the region. With stories and discussions guests will have the opportunity to learn about and sample a seasonal taste of Palestine.

Hana Haj Ahmad is the proud mother and owner of Tatreez Cafe, Tatreez Cafe is a tasteful Palestinian vegetarian restaurant which opened in London, Stoke Newington in 2013. Hana’s taste inspirations came from her mother who is a great cook with a prominent knowledge in levantine cuisine and has inspired her refinement in taste and flavours.
