Crime of Honour is a story that has a young girl at it’s core who, as a young woman, a student and a daughter, is struggling to find her place in the world. It brings together three narrative strands; a love story, the terrible memory of an honour killing and a tumultuous family relationship. It is a play that examines society, tradition and freedom and thus, the dangers and problems when these three forces clash.
Etel Adnan occupies a special place in the 13th edition of Documenta, the international exhibition of contemporary art that opens every five years and lasts for a hundred days in the central German city of Kassel. Read more.
