Join us on this evening of screening and discussion with Ahd, when we will watch three of her short films. We will also get an exclusive sneak peak at her upcoming feature film, My Driver and I. Ahd will be in conversation with Sheyma Buali, together they will discuss the successes and challenges of independent Arab film making today as they dispel the myth that women don’t make films in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi director/actor Ahd has been making films since 2002. Besides being famed for her role as the school head mistress in the ever popular Saudi feature Wadjda, directed by Haifa AlMansoor, Ahd has acted in numerous feature and short films in US and Middle East. Currently Ahd is shooting her first feature film, written, directed and starring herself.
