Atef Alshear and Dina Matar reflect on the role of Arabic poetry in political culture, from the breakdown of the Ottoman Empire to the Arab Spring. A special performance created by artist Tania El Khoury on the theme of borders in collaboration with artist and rapper Basel Zaraa. Visitors will take part in a one to one interaction with Zaraa as he recalls stories of resistance to border regimes and draws illustrations on their arm. Spaces limited.
