The Shadow of Words

Join us for the first session of Play Lab: Lum’a where light becomes a language of play, storytelling, and imagination. Inspired by Arabic calligraphy and layered poetry, this space invites children to explore how words, symbols, and gestures can take shape in colour, shadow, and movement.
In this workshop, children will be encouraged to create their own “light poems,” layering letters and symbols, tracing shadows and shapes, and discovering how light can hold meaning through gestures, rhythm, and play.
Colourful projections, shadow play, hanging shapes, quiet corners, soft materials and open surfaces for children to draw, move, and experiment.
This is a space for curiosity, creativity, and gentle discovery - where children are invited to compose with light itself and shape it into their own unique story.
