Gathering in unsettling times
5 March 2026
6-9pmFree, drop-in
We know that many in our community are feeling isolated, paralysed, and overwhelmed as we witness renewed escalation of violence and the accelerated and ongoing wars affecting people in Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan and elsewhere. We are still searching for the language and tools to bear witness, to respond and resist, to practice care, to grieve and hold one another through this time.
As a humble offering, we want to create a convivial space where we can be together - one that reminds our community that solidarity begins with showing up for one another.
On Thursday, 5 March, we are keeping our doors open longer than usual, you are warmly invited to come and stay with us until 9pm.
Please join us for warm drinks in our Salon from 6pm. Our hope is that by coming together, we can strengthen our support networks and build the collective capacity to navigate these inadmissible times.
We stand in solidarity with our people’s right to freedom, land and life, to dignity and empathy. May action be the practice that helps to organise and transform our collective grief.
We also encourage other groups and spaces to consider opening their doors, so that more of us can gather and connect.
