A road-movie documentary by the Palestinian director Michel Khleifi and the Israeli director Eyal Sivan, filmed along the partition line drawn up by the UN resolution 181 that was to separate the Jews and Arabs of Palestine. A cinematic journey along this border captures the ordinary lives of both sides and gives a voice to real people. Each of these characters has their own way of evoking the frontiers that separate them from their neighbours: concrete, barbed-wire, cynicism, humour, indifference, suspicion and aggression.
An important documentary illustrating the complexity of the conflict and the problematic relationship between those involved.
