The Mosaic Rooms

About The Mosaic Rooms

The Mosaic Rooms are a non-profit art gallery and bookshop dedicated to supporting and promoting contemporary culture from the Arab world and beyond in London. We do this through our free contemporary art exhibitions, our creative learning and multidisciplinary events programme including film screenings, current affairs talks and book launches.

We work in partnership with local, national and international organisations to disseminate our combined arts programme to the widest possible audience – in London and beyond. Our previous collaborations include partnerships with Delfina Foundation, Chisenhale Gallery, ICA, Shubbak Festival, IntoUniversity, New Citizens Gateway, Earls Court Youth Club, the Architecture Foundation, amongst many others. We work in collaboration with local secondary schools on special projects which are artist and participant-led, current partners include Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, Holland Park School and Kensington Aldridge Academy.

We believe in the importance of creating a cultural space that presents new thinking and daring creativity, illuminates ideas, inspires understanding, and interrogates contemporary issues. Our vision is for a London audience with a more informed, engaged and critical understanding of Arab culture and society.

We are a non-party political, non-religious organisation, and we are a project of the A. M. Qattan Foundation, a registered charity number 1029450.

One of London’s hidden gems… [The Mosaic Rooms] hosts a diverse range of activities from all around the greater Middle East, and is used as a hub for exhibitions, literary events, supper clubs, charity auctions, and much more.” (Roxane Zand, Deputy Chairman at Sotheby’s )

a succinct, intelligent focus on the Arab world has been unfolding at The Mosaic Rooms gallery in Earls Court since 2008…” (Rachel Spence, Financial Times)

About The A. M. Qattan Foundation

The A. M. Qattan Foundation was founded in 1994 and registered as a charity in the UK. Since 1998, it has worked towards the development of culture and education in Palestine and the Arab world, with a particular focus on children, teachers and young artists.

The Mosaic Rooms forms part of the A. M. Qattan Foundation’s ambitious plan to expand its Culture and Arts Programme in a number of international locations. We benefit from its knowledge, experience, and direct access to arts and culture in Palestine and other parts of the Arab World. Jointly we aim to promote Arabic culture internationally and facilitate cross-cultural dialogue in a non-commercial and thought-provoking environment.
