Marwa Arsanios
Artist Talk & Breakfast
13/10/22 10am
FreeRSVP below for this in person event.
Join artist Marwa Arsanios for a talk through Reverse Shot, her first public London solo exhibition. Surveying her interdisciplinary practice, the exhibition reflects on colonial and ecological violence and the alternative possibilities in grassroots community resistance and a more harmonious relationship with the land.
The conversation will shed light on Marwa’s practice and her interest in ecofeminist and collaborative practices. Speaking through the exhibition at The Mosaic Rooms, the talk will highlight the artists’ exploration of land as a living object that inherently resists property and how her works seeks to reveal an opening for alternative and radical ways to collectively resist and reclaim knowledge.
Marwa Arsanios is an artist, filmmaker and researcher who reconsiders politics of the mid-twentieth century from a contemporary perspective, with a particular focus on gender relations, urbanism and industrialisation.
