A House for the Future
Workshop for Families
26/10/22 2pm
FreeRSVP below for this in person event.
Join our 2022 Family Artist Sahra Hersi as she leads a workshop for children and families.
Sahra invites you to come and build your very own house for the future. Imagine a future scenario for you, your family, or your community. What kind of house or structure would you put in the scenario, for who, and why?
Spend an afternoon using your hands and your creativity. Starting with paper, tape, and cardboard, where will your imagination take you next?
All materials are included. Suitable for children aged 4+. Children will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Sahra Hersi is a designer. She completed a MA architecture degree at the Royal College of Art in 2017. Her practice explores shared spaces, the public realm, community engagement, meaningful contributions, and collaboration. She describes her work as “caring about people, places, art & architecture, in that order.” She seeks to establish a working philosophy that is driven by the desire to reinterpret architectural methodology and artistic narrative as common ground. Her work is often born out of engaging with communities and the places they occupy.
