Playtime is a dedicated space designed for children under 5 and their grown-ups to explore, learn, and create together.

Join us every Friday for a sensory exploration where little ones engage in creative play while parents and carers can connect, play, and share experiences. We aim to extend a warm and friendly welcome, and our staff are always available to offer assistance or guidance as needed. Older children are also welcome to join.

Explore a curated collection of sensory objects, thoughtfully crafted in collaboration with artist Sarah Marsh and children who come to The Mosaic Rooms. From soft, colourful sensory objects to stimulating activities, every element is designed to spark curiosity and foster development. See more about the Sensing our Way project here.

Art galleries are wonderful places for children to explore. With ample space to roam and plenty of visual stimulation, babies and toddlers will delight in the patterned floors in the gallery, intriguing textures, and expansive windows. Even if you can’t attend a Playtime session, you’re welcome to visit us anytime with your little one(s) Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm.

In addition to our indoor play area, we invite you to enjoy our beautiful garden space (weather permitting), providing the perfect backdrop for outdoor exploration and play.

Playtime offers more than just play – it’s an opportunity for families to bond, learn, and grow together in a nurturing setting.

Our Play Area is open too, for crafting and creativity. Free, no need to book.
