Pride of Arabia presents WRONG QUEENS, a celebration of wrong women – existing / manifesting loudly, in multiple formats and in full technicolour. This evening will consist of of stories and performance, including a video presentation of Esraa Warda’s incredible dancing and words of wisdom. Readings from Musa Al-Shadeedi’s Oum Kalthoum’s Sexuality will provide a unique perspective into the life of one of the most powerful women to ever come out of the region.

Pride of Arabia is a London-based network and support system centering queers from the MENA region and its diaspora. Born in 2017, the community has since organically grown in both social and intellectual directions, establishing alternative MENA-focused nights and spaces. Pride of Arabia aims to provide a platform – both physical and cyber – for learning, socialising and celebrating eternal MENA culture and fierceness.

In Response is a new strand in The Mosaic Rooms programme giving young collectives and individuals within the creative sphere the opportunity to curate public events drawing on themes explored in The Mosaic Rooms’ exhibitions.
