This session is a combined experience of festive singing, storytelling, creative play and making. Conducted both in Arabic and English, families will enjoy a welcoming creative afternoon session. Led by Elias Matar and Dia Batal.

Elias Matar is a Palestinian play specialist, drama therapist, workshop facilitator, performer and founder of the El Bayet Centre for Performing Arts & Drama Therapy. Elias holds an MA in Drama and Movement Therapy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Prior to this qualification, he attained a Social Theatre BA.

Dia Batal is a London based Palestinian artist. She has completed her design studies in Beirut, and an MA in Design, Critical Practice at Goldsmiths College. The multidisciplinary work she produces is context specific and often enables audience to engage with it. Dia uses Arabic language and text to create artworks that echo cultural and contemporary concerns into our urban public, and private spaces.

Suitable for children aged 4+

All children must be accompanied by parents/carers throughout the session.
