A selection of work by winners and finalists in the 2010 A. M. Qattan Foundation’s Young Artist of the Year Award is showcased in the UK for the first time.

The biennialaward – organised by the Foundation’s Culture and Arts Programme in the Occupied West Bank city of Ramallah – is open to young artists under 30 of Palestinian descent, from any part of the world. This exhibition features paintings, sculptures, short films and video works by young artists from Gaza, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

The first, second and third prize award winners were selected by a jury of internationally renowned artists and writers from Palestine, Europe and the US – Emily Jacir, Raeda Sa’adeh (winner of the inaugural Young Artist Award in 2000) and Rajie Cook, with writers Hassan Khader and Jean Fisher. The exhibition is curated by Nicola Gray.
