November School Education Programme

We are pleased to announce a daytime programme of lectures to co-incide with our upcoming exhibition From Palestine to Israel, A Photographic Record of Destruction & State Formation 1947-50.

The talks are proposed free of charge to A-Level students studying the Middle East conflict as part of the history curriculum, inviting them to engage with the period from a new, less conventional perspective. The talks aim to explore broader issues such as photography and film as historical document or political narrative, and are therefore also appropriate for art /photography A Level students.

Speakers include Dr Francis GoodingAdam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin, and Michel Khleifi. There will be an opportunity for the students to ask questions and discuss their own responses to the archival images.

Find the full details of the programme here

We will also be offering free tours of the exhibition outside of the lecture times. Please confirm group visits of more than 15 students. The Mosaic Rooms will provide refreshments for visiting groups.

If you are a teacher interested in bringing a group of students to one of the lectures or arranging a group visit of the exhibition please contact Rachael Hornsby, rachael@mosaicrooms.org or on 020 7370 9990.
