Join Ahmadzia Bakhtyari to make an Afghan kite at The Mosaic Rooms and fly it in Holland Park.

In Afghanistan, kite fliers of all ages come together to display the beautiful kites they have made and sometimes fly them in competitions. At this family-friendly workshop participants will make and fly an Afghan kite of their own with Ahmadzia Bakthyari.

All materials are included and each attendee will take home their completed kite.

Ahmadzia Bakhtyari is a London-based kite-maker from Kunduz, northern Afghanistan. He was formerly artist in residence at the Horniman Museum.

This event is part of the programme for Small Press Fest, an annual fair celebrating independent publications and publishing practices.
