Join author and illustrator Nadine Kaadan to hear the story of Leila and Sami who are trying to find a common language to communicate. This is a story dedicated to children with hearing difficulties that was awarded the ‘Best Fiction Book for Children with Special Needs’ from the Anna Lindh Foundation. Nadine will introduce her practice and engage the families in an art activity related to the stories.
Nadine Kaadan is an award winning Syrian author and illustrator based in London. She has published over 15 books, her work is inspired by Syrian heritage and touches on subjects like children with special needs, or like the current troubled situation in the Arab world, and other times they are just plain fun!
Suitable for children aged 5+
All children must be accompanied by parents/carers throughout the session.
