Play Lab: Water Binds Us
Family art and play session
17/02/24 2pm
FreeRSVP below for this in-person event.
Join Chahine Fellahi for an immersive art and play session delving into the magical and transformative nature of water. Playing with projection, movement and mark-making, participants will be invited to make and project their own mesmerising waterscapes onto the walls at the Mosaic Rooms.
Play Lab: Water Binds Us is a three-month intervention at The Mosaic Rooms, transforming one of the gallery spaces into a sensory play space for children and their accompanying grown-ups. Following this first workshop, the space will be opened at the weekends for continued exploration and self-led play.
Chahine Fellahi (b. 1994) is a visual artist, filmmaker and educator based between London (UK) and Casablanca (Morocco). Working across analog and digital processes, her practice harnesses film and photography as tools to explore the materiality of images and their relationship to memory.
The transparencies for this workshop will be created by Kaïs Aïouch, Chahine Fellahi and Jessica El Mal
All materials will be provided. Suitable for age 4-11 although all are welcome. Children to be accompanied by adults.
The name of this workshop was inspired by the poem ‘Who Am I, Without Exile?’ by Mahmoud Darwish.
Please send any enquiries or access requirements to learning@mosaicrooms.org
