Join RESOLVE Collective to celebrate the launch of their interactive outdoor play installation Tools for Solidarity. The project animates children’s understanding of solidarity through play and interaction, co-creating an evolving play structure which will be hosted in The Mosaic Rooms garden.

This event will include creative activities with RESOLVE Collective, a visual music score workshop with artist Nia Fekri, music and sounds from Sudan played by Basma, Palestinian sandwiches by chef Motaz Malhees and delicious Filipino-inspired ube ice cream by Mamasons.

 

RESOLVE Collective is an interdisciplinary design collective that combines architecture, engineering, technology and art to address social challenges. They have delivered numerous projects, workshops, publications, and talks in the UK and across Europe, all of which look toward realising just and equitable visions of change in our built environment. They have developed projects, exhibitions and residencies including at Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt, Berlin; London Design Festival in Brixton; They currently have an exhibition at Barbican’s Curve Gallery and have presented shows at Serpentine Gallery, Wellcome Collection, CCA Brighton, De La Warr Pavilion, Peckham Platform, S1 Art Space; V&A East.

Basma is the host of Khartoum Arrivals on NTS Radio and the co-host of radio show and record label Hear, Sense and Feel. She plays music inspired by the long road, drawing from the wedding anthems and eclectic folk of Sudan, the Sahel, the Horn and beyond.

Nia Fekri is an Iranian-British multidisciplinary artist and educator working primarily with moving-image, writing and performance. She received a BA from Slade School of Fine Art. Her work often deals with modes of storytelling in conversation and the ways they structure everyday realities and fictions.
